Established in 1949, the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo is an annual event that takes place in February with the help of 6,000 volunteers. This year the Stock Show and Rodeo takes place from February 9th through the 26th. During the 3 weeks, there are many daily events including a carnival, petting zoo, pony rides, pig races, music, and of course the Rodeo. This year there is an Innovation Station with a dinosaur dig, rock and fossil identification, and Lego derby races. There are family activities every day and the best way to keep up with it all is the official San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo app. All proceeds go to the scholarship fund and since 1984 there has been over $171.4 million donated to Texas youth.
